GoalTap

Android football app for live fixtures and match moments with a bold dark UI.

GoalTap visual 1

Project overview

GoalTap is an Android football companion focused on catching live moments as they happen. The product presentation leads with a strong brand mark and the promise to “catch all the moments,” then lands users in a dark-themed fixture experience optimized for group-stage and competition browsing. Where some sports apps try to be social, fantasy, and streaming hubs at once, GoalTap keeps the primary job clear: follow fixtures, see schedules, and stay close to the match slate.

The mobile interface uses a high-contrast dark canvas with warm orange accents for navigation and active states. Home, Stats, and Settings tab navigation keeps core destinations predictable. A PRO badge pattern communicates premium positioning without blocking the free browsing experience. Match cards present group-stage schedules with team names, flags, and kickoff times so users can plan when to check back. The overall composition is promotional-ready for store marketing while remaining readable as a real product UI — phone-first, not a stretched desktop website pretending to be mobile.

GoalTap was implemented with React Native for Android distribution via Google Play. That choice keeps the stack aligned with ScoreBay’s mobile approach while allowing Android-specific packaging and listing strategy. The Play Store presence matters for discovery among Android football fans who want lightweight fixtures and alerts without switching between websites. From an engineering standpoint, React Native lets the team share interaction patterns, theming conventions, and component structure across mobile products while still publishing a clean Android storefront.

For Iwebs Design, GoalTap demonstrates mobile product storytelling as much as UI craft. A sports app succeeds when the first screen communicates urgency and clarity: which matches matter today, which competition context a fixture belongs to, and how to move into stats without losing orientation. GoalTap’s cover visual captures that thesis with a dramatic device presentation and a 3D football motif that reinforces the live-action category without cluttering the UI chrome itself.

The project also shows how we approach store-oriented design systems: dark mode as the default sports mood, accent color reserved for active navigation and premium signals, and typography sized for thumb-zone scanning. Combined with React Native delivery on Android, GoalTap is a concrete example of how we take a football product concept from identity and interface through to a publicly available Play listing that fans can download and use.

Beyond the hero marketing frame, the case study emphasizes product clarity: fixtures first, stats second, settings when needed. That prioritization reduces cognitive load on busy match nights and keeps the Android experience lightweight. Iwebs Design uses GoalTap to demonstrate store-ready mobile craft — identity, interaction design, and React Native engineering working together so football fans get a focused companion rather than a bloated mega-app.
