Remodeling PPC Where the Follow-Up Matters More Than the Click

Remodeling Google Ads costs $8 to $18 a click and $150 to $400 a lead, per BG Collective's 2026 benchmarks. Those are real numbers against a real prize: a kitchen project worth $27,000 to $35,000. The problem is almost never the click. It is what happens over the following two months.

We manage remodeling PPC for $1,000 a month flat, with your ad spend paid directly to Google.

How We Run Google Ads for Remodelers

Iwebs Design builds remodeling ad accounts around a decision that takes 60 days, which makes them look different from an emergency trade's. Campaigns split by room and job type first, because a kitchen buyer, a bathroom buyer, and an addition buyer are worth different amounts and convert on different timelines. Remarketing runs from day one rather than as a later upgrade, since paying $150 to $400 for a lead you touch once is the most expensive mistake in this trade. Landing pages point to the matching room page with project photos and cost ranges, never the homepage. Conversion tracking counts booked consultations rather than form fills, because a form fill from somebody with a $10,000 budget for a $40,000 job is not a lead. Budgets realistically start at $1,500 to $3,000 a month, reaching $5,000 to $10,000 in competitive metros. Our fee is $1,000 flat.

What Does a Remodeling Lead Cost on Google Ads?

  1. Expect $150 to $400 per lead in most markets, from clicks at $8 to $18. Bathroom remodeling sits in the same band per BuiltRight Digital's 2026 figures. Competitive metros push higher.

  2. Against project values of $16,500 for a bathroom and $27,000 to $35,000 for a kitchen, a $300 lead is not expensive. What makes it expensive is a low close rate, and in this trade the close rate is mostly a follow-up problem rather than a lead-quality problem.

  3. Think about it in cycle terms. You pay $300 for a lead. They are 60 days from deciding. If your process contacts them twice in the first week and then stops, you have bought a lead and abandoned it before the decision was made. That is the single biggest source of wasted remodeling ad spend we see.

What this covers

Campaigns Built by Room, Not by Company

Splitting by job type is the structural decision that most affects results, because value and timeline vary so widely.

  • Kitchen — highest value, longest consideration

Averaging $27,000 to $35,000 and often months of deliberation. Worth the highest bids and the most patient remarketing. Cost content does much of the persuading.

  • Bathroom — faster, more frequent

Averaging $16,500 nationally, with a shorter decision and more repeat buyers. Often the best entry point for a new account because the cycle completes sooner.

  • Additions and whole-house — rare and large

Low volume, very high value, very long cycles. Runs on remarketing and credibility rather than click volume. Do not judge these campaigns on a 30-day window.

  • Remarketing — its own line item

Not a bolt-on. In a 60-day cycle this is where a meaningful share of your closes come from, and it is the first thing missing from every underperforming account we inherit.

Why We Charge Flat and Track Consultations

  1. Agencies typically charge a flat fee or 15% to 20% of ad spend. We charge $1,000 flat and your budget goes to Google on your own card, because a percentage fee rewards us for spending more of your money rather than closing more of your projects.

  2. We also count booked consultations rather than form fills. In remodeling the gap between those two numbers is enormous, because plenty of enquiries come from people whose budget is a fraction of their plan. An account optimised for form volume will happily deliver more of exactly those.

  3. That distinction changes what the campaigns do. Ads that mention price ranges get fewer clicks and better leads, which looks worse on a click-through report and better on your calendar.
